Ananya Panday REVEALS influencer cousin Alanna and her husband Ivor inspired her role in ‘CTRL’

Vikramaditya Motwane’s thriller film ‘CTRL’ started streaming on OTT recently and the movie is getting good reviews from the audiences. Along with its gripping storytelling and direction, Ananya Panday is also getting much adulation for her magnificent acting as the character Nella who is an influencer.

Recently Ananya revealed in a talk with Bollywood Hungama that she was influenced by her cousin Alanna who is a social media influencer, while performing her character in ‘CTRL’.

Additionally, the comedian Sumukhi Suresh who was a part of the writing team of ‘CTRL’, knew a lot more about social media influencers which helped Ananya gain more knowledge on influencers.

Sharing further about her cousin and her hubby Ivor, the ‘CTRL’ actress said that both of them make vlogs on everything, from their first meeting, marriage, Alanna’s pregnancy, and even their baby’s journey. This gave Ananya a feeling that they were the perfect couple to get inspired to play her character Nella Aswathi in Vikramaditya’s directorial thriller.

Ananya further said that watching her cousin Alanna and her hubby was a close-to-home reference that made her understand what sacrifices one should make to become a public figure. Ananya said that an influencer’s life is more exposed to the public than an actor’s life.

‘CTRL’ started streaming on OTT from October 4 onwards and the story revolved around the influencer couple Nella and Joe. Things go awry when Joe cheats on Nella and the latter uses an AI app to erase the former from her life.
