Angad Bedi says Virat Kohli will lift the trophy ahead of IPL 2025 final: 'Jo hamara king hai, he deserves a kingdom'

Amidst the growing excitement, actor Angad Bedi has voiced his support for cricketer Virat Kohli in a stirring video that has taken social media by storm. Angad was seen supporting Virat's Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and shared that the night would be owned by “King Kohli”.

In a recent clip shared by paparazzi online, Bedi is seen delivering a heartfelt message to Kohli:
“Punjab ka hoon lekin King Kohli ke saath hoon. Aaj raat. Aaj final hai IPL ka. 14 saal ka vanvaas mila tha Ramji ko, 18 saal ho gaye Virat ko. Aaj jersey number 18 hi jeetegi. Jo hamara king hai, he deserves a kingdom. He will lift the trophy. Best of luck RCB, and best of luck to King Kohli,” he says.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli’s recent announcement of his retirement from Test cricket has left many of his fans and followers heartbroken. Angad Bedi paid tribute to Kohli’s illustrious Test career with an Instagram post.
He reflected on the magnitude of Kohli’s departure, drawing parallels with cricketing great Sachin Tendulkar’s farewell: “The sun dipped low, the chants grew loud, and the world stood still. Sachin Tendulkar’s farewell speech, etched in the soul of a billion hearts. Such an icon that when he got out, TVs were turned off! We thought we’d never feel that again. Enter Virat. Not just a player, but a force. He gave our team his fire, his swagger, his soul. Every chase became a charge, every match became a moment. And now it just ends with a post on a screen? Can a legacy so big fade so quietly?” he wrote.

Bedi concluded, “As a fan of Indian cricket, a plea to the board: talk to Virat. Convince him to reconsider.
And to Virat – we're not ready. Come back, one last time. For us. For the girl in the stands with your name on her back. For the guy in the gullies imitating your stance. For the older fans rooting for you like their own son. For the spirit you gave a billion believers. You deserve a farewell that is remembered forever, and we deserve to see your bat do the talking one last time!”
