The release of 'Animal' is far wider and it's based on the demands of the audience. Film distributor Rajesh Thadani says, "Animal has gone all out, with a release in around 4,500 to 5,000 screens which is the maximum. And the number of screens occupied by 'Sam Bahadur' would be in the range of 1,500 to 2,000 screens."

Sharing insights into the box office performance of Animal, Vanga in an interview said that the Shahid Kapoor starrer 'Kabir Singh' amassed an impressive sum of approximately Rs 30 crore globally on its opening day. Contrasting this figure, the director revealed the substantial pre-business of over Rs 35 crores for 'Animal'. 'Animal' has a run time of 3 hours and 21 minutes, making it one of the longest India films. Commenting on the same, Ranbir Kapoor said in a statement, “The story of 'Animal' requires this amount of time to reach the audience. We saw the first cut that was 3 hours and 49 mins and we were entertained. Don't be panicked by the length and just come and experience cinema at its best.”

The run time of Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal' has raised concerns in the exhibition sector as it is anticipated to impact business by approximately twenty percent. Some exhibitors noted that while the film is expected to have the biggest opening for a Ranbir Kapoor film, accommodating more shows for 'Animal,' which is likely to open at Rs 35 crore, will be affected. Single screens can only have four shows, and multiplexes will also have fewer shows.

Some social media users have reported that Ranbir Kapoor has a nude scene in Animal. While no shots of the same are available, those who have seen the movie say that is a long shot, with blurred visuals. After the special screening, Alia was seen walking out with her family. A paparazzo asked her how the movie was and the actress replied by saying, 'Khatarnaak!'.
