Not just Anupam Kher, but his niece

Vrinda Kher

too played a pivotal part in ‘The

Kashmir Files

’. She essayed the role of Bhawani Kaul, a Kashmiri Pandit who gets displaced in the movie. Speaking to Times Now, the actress revealed how the intense climax of ‘The Kashmir Files’ left her shaken. The scene shows Bhasha Sumbli facing the atrocities of terrorists in a migrant camp. She stated, “The climax scene, in which Bitta tears off Sharda's clothes was particularly hard for all of us. Bhasha broke down and it was very hard for her to be part of that scene. So, all the emotions that came out on screen were actually real. To imagine that someone actually went through this was very difficult."

Interestingly, Vrinda also played a part behind the camera. She stated, “I was fortunate to be on the sets from the beginning and till the end because I wasn't just acting in the film, I was also part of the direction team and the production team. I was lucky because I got to see Anupam ji in action, and that was such a learning for me. One thing he always says is that just believe who you are, be the character and just live in the moment, and don’t over-rehearse. I tried to follow that.”
