Archana Puran Singh opens up about her childhood and father’s honesty as a lawyer, says, 'His sense of humour had been passed down to her and her son...'

Archana Puran Singh recently shared memories from her childhood in a YouTube vlog. Talking to her son, Aaryamann, she revealed that her father was a criminal lawyer who had defended high-profile criminals in court.


“We lived in a bungalow and my dad had a Chevrolet Impala, he had all the fancy cars at that time," Archana began when Aaryamann stated, “Bungalow and fancy cars, you were well off."



Archana remembers her father

The actress shared that her father was a criminal lawyer who had once defended Sanjay Gandhi in court. She said that despite being a criminal lawyer, he was very kind-hearted and innocent, and his sense of humour had been passed down to her and her son. She added that he was a great man and that when he passed away, the whole of Dehradun had attended his funeral.

“He was professional and only knew his work. He had defended big criminals of his time but he didn’t want any of his kids to become lawyers because he felt that you have to sell your soul," the actress stated.

Archana highlights her father’s integrity

She revealed that her father often received bribes but maintained his integrity. She recalled seeing someone bring a sack full of money for him, and her father had told the person to take it away. She said that his honesty was a lesson he taught her.
