Arjun Kapoor's mother Mona Kapoor passed away in 2012 due to multiple organ failure but the actor was quite close to her. It's been more than a decade since she passed away, but Arjun continues to miss her each day. He often gets emotional while remembering her.

It's Mona Kapoor's birth anniversary today and Arjun shared a throwback letter which he had written to her when he was a child in the year, 1997. He wrote, "I’m running out of pictures now Maa. I’ve run out of words also so just putting up something again that sums the child inside me up. Maybe I’ve run out of energy & strength also but today is your birthday and it’s the best day of the year for me, that’s why I promise you I will never give up I promise you I will find new energy & strength & I promise u I will make u proud wherever u are… love u feels rather empty without ur smile ya…Happy Birthday to my everything. ❤️"


A while ago, before the release of his film, 'Kuttey', when the makers held a musical evening for the film where Rekha Bhardwaj, Vishal Bhardwaj and Gulzar created magic on stage, Arjun had gotten emotional remembering his mother. He had expressed that he used to attend such 'mehfils' with his mother and she used to love it. Today, with this musical evening, he felt like his mother was sitting besides him and enjoying it with him. Hence, he thanked Vishal, Rekha and Gulzar sahab for giving him that feeling.

The actor got a lot of critical acclaim for his performance in 'Kuttey'. Arjun will be seen next in 'The Lady Killer' along side Bhumi Pednekar. He's also doing another romcom with Bhumi which also stars Rakul Preet Singh.
