Arshad Warsi: Casting Akshay Kumar in 'Jolly LLB 2' was a calculated business move

Arshad Warsi says that failure of 'Guddu Rangeela' could be the reason he lost a chance to work in 'Jolly LLB 2'.

Arshad Warsi feels that failure of filmmaker Subhash Kapoor's 'Guddu Rangeela' could be the reason of his ouster from Jolly LLB 2. Arshad is reportedly replaced by Akshay Kumar in 2013 courtroom drama. In a report, Arshad said that if 'Guddu Rangeela' would have worked at box office, the situation would have been different but he is happy that Kapoor is working with Akshay and that would help him enter the big league of directors and he can work with superstars in future. Arshad added that being replaced by any actor doesn't bother him or make him sad. He shared that the insecurity of production house led to the casting of Akshay as Akshay's presence is enough to get them publicity, it was a calculated business move by the marketing team. Arshad may not be even doing a cameo in the film as he said that Kapoor has discussed the possibility of a cameo with him but hasn't confirmed anything yet.
