Trailer of
Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, The Ba***ds of Bollywood is already creating a lot of buzz. Fans also got a fun sneak peek at Bollywood moments brought to life on screen, including a playful take on Ananya Panday and
Siddhant Chaturvedi’s viral ‘nepotism’ debate.
Sneak peek in the trailer
In the trailer,
Lakshya plays an outsider experiencing a fast rise in Bollywood, while
Sahher Bambba portrays a star kid’s daughter trying to make her mark. The two come together on a round-table interview panel, sharing their struggles and giving fans a glimpse into their journeys.
Cheeky recreation of real-life moments
In the trailer, Sahher’s character is heard saying, 'Living in someone’s shadow is a struggle in itself.' Lakshya’s character replies, 'Main sirf itna keh raha hoon ki papa ki parchai se niklo, maalum padega kitni dhoop hai bahaar.' In the next scene both of them are seen shooting for a film together.
This scene playfully recreates Ananya and Siddhant's famous conversation about nepotism. In the original discussion, Ananya explained her idea of struggle, saying that even though her father is an actor, she has always wanted to pursue acting and wouldn’t turn down opportunities to do so.
Ananya and Siddhant’s perspective
Ananya added that her father never appeared in big Dharma films or on shows like
Koffee With Karan, so her journey hasn’t been as easy as people assume. Siddhant's viral reply was, “Where our dreams are fulfilled, their struggle begins.” The duo later starred in Kho Gaye Hum Kahaan, considered one of Ananya’s best performances.
For Bollywood fans, The Ba***ds of Bollywood promises a dream come true: a rare cameo featuring all three Khans together. The show also includes big names like
Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan, SS Rajamouli, Badshah, and Disha Patani. It’s set to release on Netflix on September 18.
