‘Music has now evolved into simple melodies’

Asha Bhosle, who was recently seen in a new music video with A Band of Boys, says, “I think music transcends generations. Youngsters who are creating new viral music for reels and trends have their place in today’s time. Music has now evolved into simple melodies, which are easy to sing and hum. You cannot judge if this is good or bad. This is the music of the future, and there’s nothing wrong with it.”



‘AI could stifle emerging talent and creativity in music’

Sharing her views on how AI can hamper the creative spark in musicians, she says, “With AI mimicking voices becoming so rampant, the upcoming singers will be affected. They will not get a break in the industry because AI will be imitating the voices of stalwarts. AI could stifle emerging talent and creativity in music, which might make the music industry a cloning business - rehashing styles and voices that already exist. It may stifle the unique creative spark that modern and new musicians and singers bring to the world of music. Personally, I feel that AI voices lack the emotional depth and warmth that a human voice can convey. Who knows what the future holds?”
