Contrary to the reports that Ayushmann Khurrana and
Bhumi Pednekar's film has been put on hold, director
Ashwini Iyer Tiwari maintains that the project is very much on. She says, 'Ayushmann hasn't abandoned the film. Also, we will start shooting by mid-September or early October once he finishes his other film with
Parineeti Chopra.'
Earlier, Sameer Sharma ('Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana') was helming the movie, but he opted out after a few days' shoot due to creative differences with producer Aanand L Rai. Ashwini also clarified that they are going to shoot from the scratch, 'We aren't going to use any portions which have already been shot and plan to start afresh.'
