Ayushmann Khurrana reveals the ‘Vikaspuri ke Wolverine’ line was improvised by him; says, 'Delhi ka local...'
Ayushmann Khurrana is currently enjoying the success of his latest release, 'Thamma'. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead and features Varun Dhawan’s cameo as Bhediya. Recently, Ayushmann addressed the viral line “Vikaspuri ka Wolverine” from the film.
Talking about their fight sequence, Ayushmann mentioned that it was beautifully choreographed, adding that it really helps when a co-actor has a sense of rhythm. “Fighting is like rhythm, I think. Aapko dance aata hai toh aap fight kar sakte ho… filmon mein (If you can dance, you can fight—in films),” he explained.
Ayushmann on ‘Vikaspuri ke Wolverine’
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Ayushmann Khurrana was asked about the now-viral line “Vikaspuri ke Wolverine.” The actor revealed, “That was my improv. Delhi mein meri pehli job thi (I did my first job in Delhi). Delhi is like a second home. Toh mujhe laga ki wahan ka local flavor aana chahiye, aur jaise kehte hain alliteration, anupras alankar, toh wohi—‘Vikaspuri ke Wolverine’ mein bhi ek vibe thi (I thought a local flavor should come in, and like we say alliteration, so ‘Vikaspuri ke Wolverine’ had that kind of vibe).”Ayushmann on his camaraderie with Varun Dhawan
Ayushmann also spoke about his camaraderie with Varun Dhawan. In the same interview, Ayushmann spoke about the audience’s reception of the film and the viral scene. He said that children, in particular, are loving the visuals and overall experience of 'Thamma'. “Especially Bhediya aur 'Thamma' ka jo fight hua tha (especially the fight between Bhediya and Thamma). I think those set pieces were really enjoyed by kids. Woh pehli baar hua mere saath (this has happened for the first time with me),” he added.More about 'Thamma'
