So you have Sherlyn Chopra going topless a la J-Lo for her Outrageous album cover and, according to reports, Ishaa Koppikar is set to steam up the screen in her latest movie Right or Wrong. She’ll be shedding her inhibitions as well as some clothes for a bathtub scene with co-star newcomer Arav Chowdhary.

Even good girl Amrita Rao donned the ‘sexy’ cap for one song in the movie My Name is Anthony Gonsalves. While audiences may love it, it’s not easy to live with the ‘bold babe’ tag, say actresses.
Families are frequently upset. Sherlyn said on a TV show that her mom hadn’t been talking to her ever since her topless act and that she had to apologise to her mother for it. Kannada actress Sanjana, who made her debut with the bold movie Ganda Hendti and a Boyfriend, a remake of the Hindi hit Murder, says her mother was irked when she came to know about the scenes in the movie. "My parents were upset when they saw it, but then they understood that I’d been taken for a ride. I was 17 then and what I did was done under pressure," she says and adds that it was a horrible experience that she will not repeat. "When I was doing the scenes I kept looking at the director. I thought of the director as my teacher and one can’t say no to a teacher. But I’d never sign for anything like that again. I’m a mamma’s girl and would never do anything to upset her," she asserts.
Which is why some actresses prefer to have their list of what they will and won’t do on screen. Sophiya, who played ‘baby doll’ in Pyar Ke Side Effects and is known for her sexy attire, says that she only does scenes she’s comfortable with. "I have never done anything you could describe as bold. My mother is very supportive of my work, but if she felt unhappy about something, I wouldn’t do it because she is the most important person in the world to me. She trusts me implicitly and knows that I could wear the skimpiest clothes or do the sexiest scene but it would never be cheap or vulgar because I carry myself with dignity and sensuality," she says. She doesn’t believe in explaining her actions to her friends and family because they never judge her. "The public can judge you based on what you do on screen because they don’t know the real you. As for your family and friends, if they love you they will never judge you," she says.
Actress Tara Sharma says she’s not comfortable with bold scenes and kissing and therefore hasn’t done anything like that till now. "But if it’s a good role and the scene absolutely demands it, I would do it and I am sure my family and friends would understand," she says.
