Banita Sandhu on attending the SAG Awards: I was in awe the entire time

As the who's who of Hollywood gathered for the prestigious SAG Awards, a stunning Indian presence caught everyone's attention - Banita Sandhu, the actress who made her mark in the Bollywood film October alongside Varun Dhawan. Sandhu's SAG Awards debut was nothing short of a fairytale, as she walked the red carpet, rubbing shoulders with international stars. “The SAG Awards felt like a dream! Being nominated at the event was surreal to be surrounded by such incredible energy, style and sheer star power—I was in awe the entire time,” she told us.



For her SAG Awards look, Sandhu chose to wear a custom-made outfit by Indian designer Amit Aggarwal, a decision that was inspired by his impressive couture show last year. "From the second I got the news, I knew I wanted to wear an Indian designer," Sandhu revealed. The actress was nominated as the ensemble cast member for the hit digital series Bridgeton.

Sandhu's overall look was elevated by a pair of exquisite 100-year-old earrings from the heritage brand. The actress felt honored to showcase Indian craftsmanship on a global platform like the SAG Awards, and it was evident in the confidence and poise she exuded on the red carpet.

As Sandhu walked into the room filled with phenomenal talent, she couldn't help but pinch herself, taking in the surreal moment. "Walking into that room, surrounded by such phenomenal talent, was a moment I'll cherish forever. I was pinching myself the whole time," she gushed, still on a high from her SAG Awards experience. The actress has also been a part of Shoojit Sircar’s Sardhar Uddham Singh, alongside Vicky Kaushal.
