Bappi Lahiri breathed his last at a Mumbai hospital. He was 69. Mourning the loss of Lahiri filmmaker
Hansal Mehta took to Twitter and wrote, “Another legend gone. #bappilahiri Had the good fortune of working closely with him when I shot an ad for p&g and then when I worked with White Feather Films for @_sanjaygupta. Man of incredible melody and talent.”
Meanwhile, the sudden demise of the
Disco King
has left Ashoke Pandit in shock. He expressed grief, “Shocked to hear about the demise of rockstar #bappilahiriji Can’t believe my next door neighbour is no more . Your music will always remain in our hearts . ॐ शान्ति!”

Filmmaker Uday Shankar Pani shared fond memories, “Bappi, Shaily Shailendra, Tariq and I were best friends when he used to live in a 1 BHK apartment. He composed music for my Bengali film ‘Sansar’ and also associated for Hindi films.”
Bhumi Pednekar shared on Instagram, "Complete Loss Of Words. Heartbroken by the demise of The legendary Bappi Lahiri Ji, Truly a big loss. My condolences to his family and fans. Your music will live on forever".
