1/6

‘Barfi!’

In 'Barfi!', Priyanka, as Jhilmil, gives a quiet yet emotionally sharp performance just at the level of minute details and emotions. It is a nonverbal mode of communicating the state of mind and feelings like vulnerability and love through gestures and facial expressions that a young autistic girl, characterized by her silence, might use. The role is notable for its subtlety and humanity and creates a powerful effect without being showy.

2/6

‘Fashion’

In 'Fashion,' Priyanka portrays a girl who, at any cost, wants to be the most successful model in the glitzy world of fashion. Her portrayal very convincingly humanizes the character of a woman who, amid the flash and glamour, simply loses her way. Her work was highly praised, and it was also a major career breakthrough for Priyanka, resulting in a National Award.

3/6

‘Bajirao Mastani’

In 'Bajirao Mastani,' Priyanka's portrayal of Kashibai was a depiction of a woman full of grace and dignity and silently suffering her love's loss. Her performance was very subtle, up to the point that she communicated deep emotional suffering by facial expressions only. The woman character stays at a height in the film's large scale. Her performance is a very emotional contribution to the film's narrative, which is still remembered as one of the best features of the film.

4/6

‘Dil Dhadakne Do’

As Ayesha in 'Dil Dhadakne Do,' Priyanka was able to depict a successful entrepreneur who is stuck in the world of old-fashioned social rules. She portrays a person who is aware of herself and has a brave face, yet inside, the person is a little bit insecure. The character is indeed very extraordinary, and the audience can really relate to the character. The actress's performance also emphasizes the film's theme of personal freedom and the nature of relationships nowadays.

5/6

‘Mary Kom’

In 'Mary Kom,' to depict the legendary boxer, Priyanka had a very visible change in her physical and emotional stature. The character she draws up is a combination of the toughness, dedication, and mental strength of an athlete who is also a mother and wife. Her dedication to the character, both in getting the character and in playing out the role, is evident in her portrayal and gives us a very strong and compelling performance.

6/6

‘The Sky Is Pink’

In 'The Sky Is Pink,' Priyanka plays the mother, Aditi Chaudhary, who is euphoric, grieving, and brave in equal measure. Her skill to alternate between gestures of warmth, humor, and sorrow gives the film an emotional foundation. Led by her experienced and deeply originated performance, the film is one of her most emotionally compelling legends.
