'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2', 'Freddy': Kartik Aaryan's stellar lineup of films

Having completed 10 years in the industry, Kartik Aaryan has managed to make a mark with his solid performances. The actor, who didn’t have any filmy background, made his debut with Luv Ranjan’s ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ and since then, there has been no looking back for him. His striking appearance in ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2’ made him a household name. His hilarious monologue is still considered to be one of the best scenes in Bollywood. After striking the right chord with the audience, Kartik is now looking to take his career a notch higher with his choice of films. He has an interesting lineup of films in his kitty that will amaze the audience. From ‘Captain India’ to ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, here’s taking a look at the actor’s upcoming films:

Kartik is reportedly stepping into the Hindi remake of the South film ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’. The film will be directed by Rohit Dhawan. However, neither the actor nor the makers have not made any official announcement yet. The original film starred Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde in lead roles.

The actor recently announced his next project, which is a musical saga. The makers have now decided to change the title of the film, which was earlier titled ‘Satyanarayan Ki Katha’, as it was hurting the religious sentiments of the people. It will be helmed by National Award-winning filmmaker Sameer Vidwans under Sajid Nadiadwala's banner. Speaking about the film earlier, Kartik had said, “I have been wanting to work with Sajid sir for some time now, I couldn’t have asked for a better collaboration. I’m extremely happy that I am a part of Sajid sir, Shareen, and Kishor’s vision. It is a musical love saga which brings together a powerhouse of people who are National Award-winning names. It’s also a first for me with Sameer Vidwans sir who has an astute sense of making sensitive topics highly entertaining. Honestly, I feel immense pressure and responsibility, since I am the only member in this team without a National Award”.

Kartik is all set to star in 'Freddy' directed by Shashanka Ghosh. He has already started shooting for the film. Reportedly, Kartik will be seen opposite Alaya F in this one. Speaking about the film, the actor had told IANS, "As an actor, I crave to explore different facades of entertainment and with Freddy, I'm venturing into an uncharted territory which is both exciting and intriguing in equal measures. I look forward to dwell in the world of Freddy and bring alive this dark romantic thriller”.

Kartik announced ‘Dhamaka’ last year on his birthday. Directed by Ram Madhvani, the film is slated to release this year on a digital platform. The actor had shared the poster of the film with a caption, “Aaj mera Birthday hai ��..#DHAMAKA hona chahiye �� ��”.

Stepping into the shoes of Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan, Kartik and Kiara Advani are set to leave the audience in splits with ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’. The film also stars Tabu in an important role, and is being directed by Anees Bazmee. Taking a break from the shoot of ‘Freddy’, Kartik will be completing the shoot for this film. Speaking about the schedule, producer Murad Khetani had earlier told ETimes, “Kartik will be shooting with us from August with the co-actors like Tabu, Kiara, and other characters of the film. Due to Covid-19 protocols, we will be shooting the rest of the film on sets and follow all that is required.” He further added, “We haven’t planned the release date but ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ will release in cinemas whenever the film is ready”.

Kartik will be seen essaying the role of a pilot in Hansal Mehta’s next, ‘Captain India’. The film that was announced recently, will revisit one of the most successful rescue operations in history. Earlier, speaking about the film, the actor had said, “Captain India is inspiring and thrilling in equal measure and it gives me great pride and honour to be a part of such a historic chapter of our country. I have immense respect for Hansal sir’s body of work and this was the perfect opportunity to collaborate with him”. ‘Captain India’ will go on floors early next year.
