Bhumi Pednekar recently opened up about choosing
women-centric
films. According to her, she finds pride in celebrating the Indian woman in her entirety.
Talking to a news portal, Bhumi reportedly said that as a person, most of her communication is about empowering her gender and she is ruthless about it. The actress added that she consciously chooses women who are here to prove a point and have an opinion, as sometimes, strong women might not have an opinion. According to her, Bhumi plays women who will inspire other women to get a better life.
Elaborating further, Bhumi added that she is in this for the right reasons. According to her, there is a girl next door quality in her that people connect with. The actress added that she finds pride in celebrating the Indian woman in her entirety.
Bhumi has successfully carved a niche for herself in the industry with her choices of films and performances. She has films like, ‘Dum Lagaa ke Haisha’, ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’, ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ and others to her credit.
