Bobby Deol wraps up ‘Alpha’ with Alia Bhatt as dad Dharmendra battles ill health in hospital

Veteran actor Dharmendra, one of Indian cinema’s most beloved stars, has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai and placed on ventilator support. Rumours doing the rounds state that the next 72 hours are crucial for his recovery. His family members, including his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, are by his side, while his daughters are reportedly flying in from the United States to be with him.

Dharmendra, known for his timeless performances in classics like Sholay, Chupke Chupke, and Phool Aur Patthar, has been battling age-related health issues for the past few years.

Meanwhile Bobby Deol had completed shooting for his upcoming film ‘Alpha’ over the weekend, in which he stars alongside Alia Bhatt. The film, directed by Shiv Rawail, marks Bobby’s introduction to the spy universe. In a report by Dainik Bhaskar, it was stated that everyone was surprised with Bobby’s commitment and professionalism as he shot for three days while keeping a close watch on his dad’s health.Bobby's career has undergone a sea change post the success of Sandeey Reddy Vanga's Animal. He was last seen playing Ajay Talvar in Aryan Khan's The Ba***ds of Bollywood.

Dharam ji as he is fondly called in the industry was last seen in Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s Teri Baaton Mein Uljha Jiya. His next release is going to be his close friend Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda’s big screen debut Ikkis which will be hitting the theaters on Christmas weekend.
