Chitrangada Singh defends actors who opt for cosmetic surgeries; slams people for harsh judgement: 'Trolling is so UNNECESSARY'
has taken a strong stand against people who troll celebrities for getting . The ‘Desi Boyz’ actress spoke openly about how stars, especially women, are often judged harshly for trying to enhance their appearance.
‘It’s absolutely fine’: Her take on cosmetic enhancements
In an interview on Varinder Chawla’s YouTube channel, Chitrangada made it clear that there is nothing wrong with someone trying to improve how they look if it helps their confidence. She said, “I think if somebody is in a visual medium and is using something to enhance themselves, it's absolutely fine. We are evolving so I feel that unnecessary assassinating somebody's whole character over it, I don't approve of that at all.”
Trolling is hurtful
While criticism can sometimes be helpful, the ‘Inkaar’ actress pointed out that there’s a big difference between that and trolling. She explained how online comments can often be cruel and shocking. “It's ok if you have a but trolling is so unnecessary. Sometimes they say very demeaning stuff, and it's very hurtful, I am shocked sometimes,” she shared.

On the work front, Chitrangada was recently seen in ‘Housefull 5’, which hit cinemas on 6 June 2025. The film is the latest part of the popular comedy series and has a massive star cast including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Fardeen Khan, Dino Morea, Sanjay Dutt, Johny Lever, Chunky Panday, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Ranjeet, Nikitin Dheer, Sonam Bajwa, and Soundarya Sharma.
Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the film has a unique twist, as it comes in two versions — ‘Housefull 5A’ and ‘Housefull 5B’ — each with a different ending. This fresh idea adds something new to the comedy franchise and gives audiences a choice of how the story ends.
