Danish Sait became well-known for his funny characters and quick humour. Recently, he has started taking on serious roles. His latest one is in ‘Space Gen Chandrayaan’, where he plays an ISRO scientist working on a moon mission. Recently, in an interview, Danish talks about doing his first Hindi show, his love for comedy, and his new experiences as an actor.
Danish Sait on playing an ISRO scientist in ‘Space Gen Chandrayaan’
Inspired by ISRO’s Chandrayaan 3 mission, ‘Space Gen Chandrayaan’ blends fact and fiction to tell a gripping story of India’s lunar success. The series features Danish as an ISRO scientist, alongside Nakuul Mehta and Shriya Saran. Speaking to Hindustan Times, Sait said, “This one is probably the first time people will see me for such a long duration, hiding behind nothing. I don't have a moustache. I don't have a wig. I don't have a beard. I don't have my glasses. I'm left with no devices. I'm bare. I'm naked to say.”
Danish Sait on the blend of science and simplicity
Danish feels that the strength of Space Gen lies in its mix of technical details and ease, which he considers the beauty of TVF, the production house behind the show. As much as there are technical things, TVF has taken that hardcore technical information and still somehow made it palatable for everyone to understand and see.
Danish Sait reflects on his journey from comedy to drama
After nearly two decades in the entertainment industry, Danish has now taken on his first Hindi series, also marking one of his early dramatic roles. Reflecting on this shift from comedy, he shares, “The last couple of years have been very special for me. I did a Malayalam film with Mr. Mohanlal (Malaikottai Vaaliban), directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery. Then, to do this with TVF. I just feel like things happen, but happen in time, and I've never been the guy who wants to beat the clock because I really have nowhere to get to. I'm doing fine. So, I'm okay to kind of give it that space.”Get the latest entertainment updates from the Times of India, along with the
