Mumbai Police has outdone itself and won over social media for their fun and creative way of congratulating Megastar
Amitabh Bachchan for his Dada Saheb Phalke Award win.
The Mumbai Police are known to come up with some rather interesting tweets, be it on trending topics, or even giving Bollywood stars a schooling on traffic safety apart from trolling them at times. This time around, the sent out a congratulatory message to Big B by sharing a photo of the star as his character in the film ‘Zanjeer’.
The message read, “Congratulations Inspector Vijay @SrBachchan on being selected for the #DadaSahebPhalke Award. We salute you for being the most evergreen, energetic and inspirational icon to generations.”
They also issued a congratulatory message in Marathi.
Congratulatory messages have been pouring in for the actor from all quarters after the announcement of his name as the recipient for this year's
Dadasaheb Phalke Award
. Last seen onscreen in 'Badla', Bachchan is a recipient of four
National Film Awards
for his roles in 'Agneepath', 'Black', 'Paa' and 'Piku'. He was also honoured with the Padma Vibhushan - the country's second-highest civilian honour - in 2015.
