Dad-to-be Shahid Kapoor remodels his house

Yup, you heard it right. When Shahid Kapoor made Praneta at Juhu his new address, it became a talking point in Bollywood. The actor, who acquired a huge basement space and a ground floor sea-facing apartment with a spacious garden space, had modelled the place to suit his eclectic tastes. However, at that point, he wanted to make it more like a bachelor's den.

While the basement was his party area, the upper deck of the house had one huge master bedroom with a big bathroom, dining area, kitchen and hall with a powder room. Shahid hadn't even made a second bedroom because he had no idea he would be getting hitched. However, destiny had other plans. Last July, the actor got married to

The master bedroom became the star couple's domain. But Mira, who guards her privacy fiercely, wasn't too keen on letting many people into 'her' space. So changes to the rest of the house were made accordingly. The party area downstairs became Shahid's work area and he started having his meetings and story-sessions there.

Now, as the Kapoors get ready to welcome a baby, more remodelling is happening. The superstar admits that a special room is being made for the baby. Also, the powder room will soon be converted into a proper shower-cum-toilet because, in all likelihood, guests will be coming to the house, once the baby arrives. And guess who told Sasha right from the start to be prepared for all these changes? His father Pankaj Kapur. 'I should have listened to dad from the start,' smiles Shahid. 'After all, he is more worldly-wise than I am,' he adds.
