Be it their wedding at

However, the stunning bride, whom her husband called “the most beautiful girl in the world”, made an exception for the reception that took place in Mumbai on November 28. DeepVeer was a vision to behold in colour-coordinated ivory outfits. Deepika chose an ivory chikankari lehenga for the evening.

While their look was stunning, it’s interesting to note that Deepika opted to be slightly unconventional. Yes, the sindoor and the chooda were all there, but unlike traditional North Indian brides, Dippy chose white colour for the occasion. Traditionally, North Indian brides do not wear colours like white, off-white, ivory and beige to their wedding and reception.

Prior to their Mumbai reception, the couple had a reception in Bengaluru, Deepika’s hometown, on November 21. The event was hosted by Deepika’s parents Prakash and Ujjala Padukone. While Dippy wore a gold sari with an emerald and pearl neckpiece, Ranveer chose a navy blue Rohit Bal ensemble for the evening.
