Deepika Padukone's fans call out edited pic of Usha Vance

US President Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka Trump, got fans of Bollywood star Deepika Padukone up in arms after an official handle shared an edited image of Usha Vance, wife of US Vice President JD Vance.

The handle @IvankaNews posted a tribute to Usha, praising her as a "brilliant and accomplished attorney known for her intelligence, grace, and support for her husband." However, Desi fans were quick to notice something unusual about the image. The photo in question was a spitting resemblance of Deepika Padukone’s iconic look from the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, where the actress, serving as a jury member, stunned in a dramatic white saree paired with a striking pearl necklace. Fans accused the handle of sharing a photoshopped image that placed Usha’s face on the actress' body.


Social media was flooded with reactions, with one user pointing out, "That's Deepika Padukone, the leading actress of India," while another commented, "This photo is from the Cannes Film Festival where Deepika was one of the jury members."



Some fans expressed their outrage more humorously, with one remarking, "Editing THE Deepika Padukone's pic and putting this woman's face on her is a criminal offense." Another added, "Pretty sure that’s Deepika Padukone’s body with Usha’s face photoshopped on it."




Meanwhile, others continued to call for an acknowledgement of the Bollywood superstar being misrepresented.
