Did you know Kareena Kapoor Khan was originally cast as the female lead in Hrithik Roshan’s debut film ‘Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai’. However, after a few days of shooting, things took a different turn as she decided to back off from the project. Ameesha Patel was then offered Kareena’s role. Back in 2000, the film was a box office hit.

According to reports, Preity Zinta’s role in Kal Ho Na Ho was initially offered to Kareena Kapoor. Reports were rife that Bebo had hiked her price for the film, and that Karan was not in favour of paying so much. Eventually, she backed out, and Preity came on board.

Apparently, Kareena Kapoor Khan was the first choice to play Jessica Lal in the Raj Kumar Gupta directorial. The makers wanted her to be on board, Kareena was also interested in taking the part. However, later she backed out and later shared in an interview that she failed to connect with Jessica's character and hence had to reject it.

While Kareena Kapoor Khan was the second choice for Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Heroine’, she was the first choice for ‘Fashion’. Kareena’s role was later bagged by Priyanka Chopra when the former backed out owing to tight shooting schedules. The film went on to become a sensation with Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut bagging National awards for their roles.
