Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal may reunite on reality show The 50 months after divorce - Report

Dhanashree Verma and Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal are currently being discussed as potential participants for the upcoming reality series The 50. According to a report by Siasat, the former couple has been approached by the makers, with early-stage conversations said to be underway.

There has been no confirmation from either Dhanashree or Chahal so far. However, the development has drawn attention given the scale of the show and the interest surrounding its casting.

Show could feature both post-divorce

If the casting discussions progress, The 50 could become the first reality format to feature both Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal since their divorce was finalised in February 2025. While there is no clarity on whether one or both will come on board, the possibility alone has added to the show’s pre-launch buzz.

Industry insiders suggest that the makers are keen on assembling a lineup that brings together personalities from different worlds, increasing the show’s cross-audience appeal.

Inside the format of The 50

Scheduled to stream on JioHotstar and air on Colors TV, The 50 enters a space dominated by long-running reality formats, while attempting a structural shift.

The show places 50 contestants inside a lavish, palace-like setting with no fixed rules. The format is designed to allow strategy, shifting alliances and unpredictability to drive the narrative. The contestant mix is expected to include celebrities, digital creators and familiar faces from previous reality shows.

Names doing the rounds ahead of official announcement

Several names are currently being speculated as part of the tentative contestant list. These include Tanya Mittal, Dhanashree Verma, Yuzvendra Chahal, rapper Emiway Bantai, actor Saba Azad, influencer Orry, and television personalities Nikki Tamboli, Shweta Tiwari, Ankita Lokhande and Shiv Thakare.

Digital creators Kusha Kapila and Faisal Shaikh, also known as Mr Faisu, are also reportedly in talks. The likely inclusion of reality show regulars such as Pratik Sehajpal and Sreesanth points towards a game that could be driven heavily by strategy and competition. The makers, however, are yet to confirm the final lineup.

Premiere plans and global format

The 50 is set to premiere on February 1. The show will stream on JioHotstar at 9:00 PM, followed by its television telecast on Colors TV at 10:30 PM.

The Indian version is adapted from the French reality series Les Cinquante, a format that has seen international success and later inspired the American adaptation Los 50, which premiered on Telemundo in 2023.



Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal got married in 2020 and parted ways four years later. For now, the focus remains on The 50 and the anticipation around its final cast reveal, with official confirmation still awaited.
