Dharmendra to celebrate his 90th birthday next month as family plans double celebration 'If God willing' - Reports

Dharmendra is currently being treated at his Juhu residence after getting discharged from the Breach Candy Hospital, where he was under close medical observation for several days. Fans have been praying for the veteran film legend's speedy recovery. And it seems that God has heard them all. As per the latest development, the 'Sholay' actor might be able to celebrate his 90th birthday, which is in December.

Dharmendra might be able to celebrate his 90th birthday next month

According to the Bollywood Hungama report, a source close to the family told the publication that "if God is willing," the Deol family will be celebrating two birthdays next month—Dharmendra and Esha Deol's.


While Dharmendra's 90th birthday falls on December 8, Esha turned a year older on November 2. However, the actress postponed her celebrations until her father's recovery.

According to the report, while talking about the living legend's health, his wife, Hema Malini, said that "so far, he is okay. We are taking one day at a time."

Salman Khan and Dharmendra share a close bond with each other. The superstar is currently on his 'Da-Bangg' tour in Qatar. During the press conference of the same, he said, "Mere aane se pehle ek hi shaks the woh hain Dharam ji (Before me, there was just one person, and he was Dharam ji)." The superstar added, "He is my father; that's the end. I love that man, and I just hope that he will come back."

Khan was also the first celebrity to visit Dharmendra when he was admitted to the hospital.

On November 12, he was discharged from the hospital where he was admitted after he complained about breathlessness on October 31. The family members of the veteran actor have urged everyone to respect their privacy in this difficult time.

On the work front, Dharmendra was last seen in the film 'Teri Baaton Mein Uljha Jiya', starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. He will next feature in 'Ikkis', which is Amitabh Bachchan's grandson, Agastya Nanda's debut film. The movie is slated to hit theaters on December 25 this year.
