'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' has been making waves ever since the film released on March 19. It is not only breaking box office records but also is the talk of the town and every scene from the film has been dissected by fans. The film's apologetically bold language also hasn't gone unnoticed. The
Aditya Dhar directorial initially caught audiences off guard by retaining several abusive words even after certification, but reports now suggest that its theatrical print has been modified.
Dhurandhar 2 Movie ReviewNetizens were quick to notice a goof up in the film, where one camera person was spotted in the mirror in a fight scene between Hamza aka Jaskirat Singh Rangi (
Ranveer Singh) and Gurbaaz Singh aka Pinda (
Udaybir Sandhu). As per a report by Bollywood Hungama, the error has now been corrected in the updated version and no this is not the only change made in the new print.
A source was quoted by the portal saying, “In the earlier version, some abuses were muted but many of them were left untouched. In the new print, more cuss words have been censored. The dialogue where (Sanjay Dutt) says ‘Ld ca kya’ in the Operation Lyari sequence has been muted, though the gesture made by the actor while mouthing the dialogue remains. The abuse, ‘Ba’, said by Rakesh Bedi while getting his pedicure done, and by a character in the ‘Aari Aari’ song sequence was also silenced. A few more abuses have been similarly muted in other parts of the film. Words like ‘Ba’ and ‘Gu’ were kept untouched.”
The reported further stated that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had suggested multiple changes. Out of 21 modifications listed, several involved muting or replacing abusive words, though the exact terms were not specified in the official cut list. Additionally, in one instance, a non-abusive word was altered, while in two other places, a word was muted and a name was replaced—likely with a fictional one.
