Samuel went on to become Pakistan's ambassador to 11 countries, while Chand became a supporting actress in Hindi cinema. The village is now in Pakistan after partition. Chand Burke is the grandmother of 'Dhurandhar' star Ranveer Singh.

According to the report, Singh's grandmom moved to Bombay (now Mumbai) after partition. She was popular in Hindi and Punjabi films. She worked in movies made in Lahore, Pakistan. She was famous for her dancing and was called 'Dancing Lily of Punjab'.
