Did you know Arjun Kapoor’s cameo with Govinda in ‘Salaam-E-Ishq’ was chopped off from the film?

Ahead of his big Bollywood debut in 2012, Arjun Kapoor gained experience behind the camera and worked as an assistant director on several films. Interestingly, before facing the camera for ‘Ishaqzaade’, Arjun Kapoor had shot for a cameo in ‘Salaam -E-Ishq’, wherein he was assisting Nikkhil Advani. While speaking to a news portal, Arjun revealed that he had shot for a ‘sweet’ scene with Govinda, who played a taxi driver in the movie. The actor essayed the role of one of the customers who fell asleep on Govinda’s shoulder while he was driving.



This sequence was reportedly a part of a larger montage of Govinda’s introductory song in the film but it was removed from the film’s final cut. Turns out, Arjun Kapoor’s acting debut actually happened with Govinda, but the final take was never released.



On the work front, Arjun Kapoor will soon be seen in Mohit Suri’s thriller entertainer ‘Ek Villain Returns’. Apart from Arjun, this film also features John Abraham, Disha Patani, and Tara Sutaria in the lead. He also has ‘Kuttey’, co-starring star Naseeruddin Shah, Konkona Sen Sharma, Arjun Kapoor, Tabu and Radhika Madan. This film will mark the directorial debut of Vishal Bhardwaj's son, Aasmaan Bhardwaj. Recently, Arjun had announced a new film, titled ‘The Lady Killer’. Directed by Ajay Bahl, this entertainer will star Bhumi Pednekar opposite Arjun.
