Did you know Shahid Kapoor got upset when asked to wear a pagdi for wedding scene in 'Vivah'?

Sooraj Barjatya recently recalled Shahid Kapoor being resistant to many customs being followed in an arranged marriage while shooting for ‘Vivah’.

Spilling some beans on the same, the filmmaker revealed that he still teases Shahid for not knowing anything about arranged marriages when he shot for ‘Vivah’. The director even recalled a scene where he was supposed to come to meet the girl. He had decided on some other clothes but Shahid came dressed in a coat and jeans.



Sooraj also recalled that Shahid was very resistant to wearing a pagdi for the wedding scenes in the film. The actor got very upset when he was told he had to wear it for the scene. Ironically, he followed the same customs without any qualms when he married Mira Rajput in his real life, Barjatya told Pinkvilla.

The 2006 film Vivah also starred Amrita Rao, Alok Nath, Anupam Kher, Samir Soni and Seema Biswas.



Next, Sooraj Barjatya is awaiting the release of his upcoming film, ‘Uunchai’ which stars Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Danny Denzongpa, Parineeti Chopra, Neena Gupta and Sarika. It is slated to hit the theatres on November 11.
