Did you know that Dimple Kapadia decided to quit films after marrying Rajesh Khanna and opted out of two films?

Dimple Kapadia made an impressive debut with Bobby, but she opted out of two films featuring Shashi Kapoor as the lead - Prayag Raj films Insaaniyat and Paap Aur Punya. She made this decision before the release of Bobby and her marriage to Rajesh Khanna.

Dilip Thakur said, "It was Prayag Raj films Insaaniyat and Paap Aur Punya. Both the film she had signed before the release of Bobby and her marriage. She didn't want to work after marriage to Rajesh Khanna and hence decided to opt out of the films."

Thakur added, "Sharmila Tagore replaced her in Paap Aur Punya and Madhu (not Roja fame) in Insaaniyat. Paap Aur punya completed 50 years in 2024."

Dimple married Rajesh Khanna on March 27th 1973 and her first film Bobby released on 28 September 1973. Thakur said, "Dimple took the decision to quit films and Prayag Raaj, who was a close friend of Shashi Kapoor signed Sharmila Tagore and Madhu. He completed Paap Aur Punya in one year and released it."
