'Dilwale'

In Rohit Shetty's 'Dilwale' (2015), the Christmas setting really adds to the mood. You've got all the festive decorations and lights, and SRK and Varun Dhawan run into Kajol and Kriti Sanon by chance. Suddenly, old feelings resurface, past problems come back, and love is in the air again. Christmas just makes Varun's big moment with Kriti even better, and it all fits with the movie's themes of reunion, fate, and romance.

'Anjaana Anjaani'

'Anjaana Anjaani' kicks off in chilly December. Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra play two strangers who are both really down. They plan to end their lives on New Year’s Eve. Mostly taking place in Las Vegas, the film follows them as they try to appreciate life's small joys. Despite it being Christmas time, what happens helps them heal, figure out who they are, and maybe even fall in love. They start out planning to die, but things shift, and it turns into a story about finding hope.

'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu'

'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu' tells the story of a couple who meet unexpectedly in Las Vegas on Christmas Eve. Shakun Batra directed the film. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Imran Khan's characters are both surprised by their meeting, which sparks an odd but sweet relationship. The title song sets the mood as they check out Las Vegas, fall for each other, and go through the usual stuff of figuring out who they are, and finding love in their own way — perfect for the holidays.

'Hide and Seek'

Then there's 'Hide & Seek', which came out in 2010. It's one of the few Bollywood horror thrillers set during Christmas. Directed by Shawn Aranha, the movie is about six friends stuck in this empty mall. A creepy killer dressed as Santa is after them. The empty mall during Christmas is spooky since it's usually such a happy time. With Purab Kohli starring, the movie mixes suspense, fear, and trying to survive, turning Christmas into a scary fight.

'Merry Christmas'

Sriram Raghavan directed 'Merry Christmas' (2024), with Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi as the stars. It was set to drop on December 15, 2024, but the release got bumped to January 12, 2024. The flick is about a guy and a girl who meet on Christmas Eve, and things go wild. It's a thriller with secrets, trust issues, survival, and trying to figure out what people actually want. There's a big Christmas feel to 'Merry Christmas', plus Raghavan's usual directing style, and the acting is top notch, so you will be glued to the screen until the end.

'The Sky Is Pink'

'The Sky Is Pink' tells Aisha Chaudhary's story and shows how much her parents loved each other and her. Sure, there are some tough parts to watch. But when they all spend Christmas together, it shows how families can find happiness even when they're going through a lot. Being there for each other really helps them get through the hard times. All those happy and sad moments mixed together makes the movie a real emotional one.
