Dipika Chikhlia rewinds in a spiritual day trip to Ballaleshwar Pali temple with friends

Veteran actress Dipika Chikhlia recently took a brief respite from her busy schedule to enjoy a spiritual outing with close friends. On Wednesday, Dipika shared highlights of her visit to the Ballaleshwar Pali temple, a revered site dedicated to Lord Ganesha, located in the picturesque village of Pali in Maharashtra's Raigad district.

The actress took to Instagram to share a Reel video documenting her day trip. In the footage, the actress, known for her role as Sita in the iconic 1987 television series ‘Ramayan’, can be seen dressed in a stylish olive green co-ord set. The video captures her walking through the temple grounds, holding a traditional puja thali, and taking pictures to commemorate the visit. The background audio features her saying, "Maharashtra me Ashtavinayaka ye mandir hai Pali mein. Photo lena to zaruri hain," which translates to "This temple in Pali is part of the Ashtavinayaka temples in Maharashtra. It's essential to take photos."

In her post, Dipika Chikhlia described the excursion as a welcome break from her hectic routine, writing in the caption, "A day trip from crazy schedule... with best buddies #palli #ganpati." Her Instafam enjoyed a glimpse into her personal life and her devotional journey.


Dipika Chikhlia, who started her film career in 1983 with the lead role in ‘Sun Meri Laila’, opposite Raj Kiran, became a household name with her portrayal of Sita in ‘Ramayan.’ It also featured Arun Govil as Ram, Sunil Lahri as Lakshman, and Dara Singh as Hanuman.

She has also appeared in several regional films, including the Malayalam movie ‘Ithile Iniyum Varu’ with Mammootty, the Kannada hits ‘Hosa Jeevana’ with Shankar Nag and ‘Indrajith’ with Ambareesh, and the Tamil film ‘Nangal’ with Prabhu. Her Bengali film ‘Asha O Bhalobasha’ opposite Prosenjit Chatterjee was also well-received.
