The director of "Main Atal Hoon" Ravi Jadhav, revealed why Pankaj Tripathi emerged as the ultimate selection to portray Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the upcoming film. Scheduled for release on January 19, the movie delves into the life of the late Prime Minister, with Pankaj Tripathi assuming the lead role.

In discussing the casting choice, in an interview with IndiaToday, Ravi Jadhav expressed, "When the idea of creating a film on Shree Atal Bihari Vajpayee was presented to me, Pankaj Tripathi was immediately suggested by the producers, and I wholeheartedly supported the decision. Both Atal Ji and Pankaj Tripathi, hailing from modest backgrounds to achieve remarkable success, share a profound connection with their homeland."
