Diwali 2024 might be more than a year away, but when it comes to Bollywood, it is the best time of the year to release some big budget movies, owing to the holiday mode and family gatherings. Almost each year sees a big Diwali release and after a long lull, as many as four Bollywood biggies are set to grace our silver screens, come Diwali next year. Read on to know more...

Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty, a match made in heaven when it comes to commercial potboilers, are all set to reunite for Singham Again. According to reports, the movie will go on floors this year in July and Deepika Padukone has been roped in for a key role. Not only this, Rohit has already locked in a Diwali 2024 release for the same. Rohit had earlier revealed that there will be strong female lead in Singham Again at the song launch of Cirkus in December last year. He quoted, “Everyone knows that my next film is Singham Again, belonging to the cop universe. Every time, I am asked ‘Lady Singham kab aayegi?’. Toh Singham Again mein Lady Singham aayegi.”

The dream combo, Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya had been discussing a collaboration for a while now and as per a report in Pinkvilla, the duo have finally roped in a subject for the same. Titled 'Prem Ki Shaadi', Barjatya will reportedly move away from the joint family concept and instead celebrate love in a nuclear family - the concept for the same is extremely close to Barjatya's heart, it is being said. This movie too, is eyeing a Diwali 2024 release.

After the stupendous success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, the third part of the franchise is set to drop on Diwali next year. The horror-comedy genre has become extremely popular post the release of Stree in 2018. While it has been confirmed that Kartik Aaryan will reprise his role in the franchise and Anees Bazmee will be directing it, more details are awaited on the rest of the cast and crew of the movie.

After a lot of back and forth on who is in and who is out, Hera Pheri 3 has commenced shoot with the original cast! Yes, that is right. Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty are all set to reprise their roles as Baburao, Raju and Shyam respectively. The icing on the cake is that Sanjay Dutt too, has joined the franchise in a key role. ETimes had earlier reported that Farhad Samji will direct the movie instead of Anees Bazmee.

This apart, some big movies to release this year will be Ajay Devgn's Bholaa, Salman Khan's Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Ponniyin Selvan: Part-2 and Kangana Ranaut's Tejas. This apart, the Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger 3 is also expected to release end of this year.
