Middle East. Sonam Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandes, Tabu, Rajkummar Rao and Ishaan Khattar and many more Bollywood stars dazzled the stage in Oman for their Omani and Indian fans.

At Filmfare Middle East, Rajkummar Rao bagged performer of the year, Tabu bagged classic talent, Sonam Kapoor received an award for progressive roles in Indian cinema, Jacqueline Fernandez got woman of style and substance award Ishaan Khattar and Janhvi Kapoor bagged the Best Debutant Award and Asha Parekh got the Lifetime Achievement Award.

In a candid conversation, a few stars spoke about the importance of awards and how they feel about it. Janhvi Kapoor says, “I don’t think any audience sets out doing any role or acting, thinking about getting and award for that particular role. But after all the hard work and success when you get it, that feels good. You get a feeling of recognition and that feels great.”

Sonam Kapoor said, “Well, I think any sort of validation is important because it encourages you to the work that you are already doing.” Rajkummar Rao added, “ I think, it’s a recognition to all the hard work that you have put in for that particular character / role. So, I feel very happy when I receive an award.”
