After delivering films like Mimi, Crew and Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Kriti Sanon has now donned a new role of a producer along with Kanika Dhillon, and has come out with her first film Do Patti. The film features Kriti Sanon in a double role with Kajol playing the role of a police officer in this thriller.
The makers released the trailer of the film, giving a glimpse of the world that Kanika Dhillon has created with her pen.The film is about two twin sisters played by Kriti, the two characters are extremely opposite to each other. One of them is this sweet girl next door, while the other one is this confident go-getter.
The story starts with the ‘sweet one’ falling in love with actor Shaheer Sheikh’s character, while the ‘confident go-getter’ lusts after him and wants him at any cost. But things go for a toss when there is a crime committed, which leads to cops getting involved and thus enters Kajol.
Now the plot looks eerily similar to 2005 thriller called Sheesha, which starred Sonu Sood and Neha Dhupia in the lead. There as well Neha played a double role, here, one twin was deaf and mute, while the other one was a confident businesswoman. Sonu and the entrepreneur Neha fall in love, but it is the communication impaired Neha who also starts to fall in love with Sonu, and wants him for herself. She also gets involved in a murder case but blames the entrepreneur Neha for it.
Sharing the trailer on her IG, Kriti wrote, "My first as a producer!
My first with a double role.. one of my most challenging roles.. This butterfly’s kattha is too special..
