The actor has gained prominence for the portrayal of his recent hit and the re-release of the romance and emotionally rich 'Sanam Teri Kasam'. While speaking with IANS, the actor revealed that his late father was his greatest inspiration when it came to understanding the depths of love and longing.

Harshvardhan shared that his father's life shaped his perception of love. "The actual icon of broken-hearted lovers that I have seen in my life with whom I trained for 16 years was my father," he said, discussing how his father often feels sensitive as it could be misinterpreted.

He also recalled seeing his late father making multiple efforts to salvage his marriage. "I saw this man after he got divorced from my mother, even while he was trying to make it work, I saw the efforts that the man made,” Harshvardhan said, describing how his father’s quiet pain left a lasting impression on him.The 'Sanam Teri Kasam' actor also spoke of the silent moments he shared with his father after his parents' separation.
He mentioned that as a child, he used to ensure that his father would not feel uncomfortable that he was watching him and always made sure not to let him realize it.Calling his father the 'messiah of broken-hearted lovers, he also shared that after his parents separated, he saw his father fail to make a connection with the other people. "I saw him try and fail five or six times with different souls… all lovely people, all beautiful people. But I have seen that longing. So, for me, the messiah of broken-hearted lovers is my holy father," he said.

Harshvardhan Rane's recent hit, 'Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat' directed by Milap Zaveri, stars him alongside Sonam Bajwa. The film has completed 11 days at the box office and it has gone on to make Rs 57.65 crore as per trade analyst Sacnilk.
