Once upon a time,
Emraan Hashmi was identified with the tag of being a ‘serial kisser’ in his films. While things have changed in Hindi cinema now, Emraan’s intimate moments on screen we’re always the talking point. In a candid conversation the actor reveals that he’s never liked the attention. He explains, “I am done with it. I am letting it go now, because I am just fed up of it. Kissing is fine. I don’t have an issue with kissing on screen, but it’s what happens after that. Everyone puts the spotlight on whether I have a kiss in a film or not. My producers have been guilty of using the kissing scenes for promotions of films, but I feel things are different today. Youngsters are okay with it. Call it a generation gap or anything, but I shut my ears on hearing half the things. It’s a culture shock for me! I fear for my son when he grows up (laughs!).”
Emraan’s next film,
Why Cheat India
, releases on January 18 as the actor hopes to highlight the many issues plaguing the educational system in India.
