Coronavirus has wreaked havoc across the world and
Bollywood
too is facing trouble because of the health scare. From films being postponed to shoot scheduled getting cancelled – Bollywood is taking a lot of preventive measures. Several celebrities are also practicing self isolation. Amidst this panic situation, Bollywood actress
Tanushree Dutta is sticking to fitness and praying for the health scare to pass. Excerpts from Tanushree Dutta’s exclusive interaction with ETimes:
How has life changed post Coronavirus pandemic? There have been a few inconveniences like some of my Indian community events are getting cancelled out here in the US due to lockdowns. I had carried a suitcase full of fantastic Bollywood show outfits for stage performances and beautiful sarees for appearances and keynote speaking which will have to wait till the quarantine lifts. Other than that so far Coronavirus has not reached the small mountain town in the US where I live, so things are still a bit normal out here for me.
What sort of precautions are you taking? I'm making sure that I follow a healthy diet, exercise routinely and ample rest to keep myself fit and immunity levels high. I am meditating regularly and praying everyday for this phenomenon to pass without much carnage of innocent human lives.
How has it affected your work? Have any shoots been cancelled? Well I'm not currently shooting for anything yet. I am in the US for the next six-seven months and may return in September 2020. Hopefully by then things will get back to normal and I can start working on some new projects.
How do you keep yourself busy since everything is in lockdown? I'm working out, meditating, reading, walking in the garden, cycling and watching loads of good content on YouTube. I always utilize my time constructively so that when I'm back in action it is not only a new time and new world, but a more enhanced version of me that I present to the world.
How are you taking care of your family and loved ones in this time? I'm currently in the US and so sometimes I get worried about my family back home in India. I call and check on them every other day but other than that I'm keeping a positive attitude about this phenomenon and spreading positivity wherever I can. I pray for my family’s safety, health and well being.
One message for fans during this health scare This is an excellent opportunity to slow down and prioritize through this imposed quarantine. It is a time for introspection and mindful assessment of your life, attitudes, actions and future aspirations. It is a time for self analysis, practising mindfullness and self improvement. Sometimes life brings us to a grinding halt not to complain, worry, fear and fret but to self analyze and see what can be improved in us. I have lived in a more or less similar fashion for about 10 years during the sabbatical from Bollywood, working on just few events and part time work every month. So this life, it's nothing new for me and hence I'm kind of comfortable with this pause and not too bothered by the chaos. But during my time of imposition from busy public life I realised that you can either see the glass half full or empty. So I utilised the last 10 years in my own self growth. I read, studied a lot of things, travelled, learnt new stuff and gained a deeper understanding and perception of human life. I have a new vision and a new goal along with a new enthusiasm for my creative life moving forward. So see how you can make this glass half full rather than half empty!! Punishment, Penance or austerity we get to decide..it can be a curse or a blessing in disguise depending on our attitude. So stay positive.
