Exclusive interview! Simple Kapadia’s son Karan on World Cancer Day: My mom never stopped smiling and was always positive about life

On World Cancer Day today, Karan Kapadia opens up about mother Simple Kapadia who lost the battle to cancer on November 10, 2009, after being diagnosed in 2006. In an exclusive interaction with ETimes, he says, “I don’t want to say anything specific regarding my mom’s journey, but seeing it up close personally I know how hard it can be for the person going through it and also for the family and people around them as well.”He goes on to add, “Even throughout her battle with the illness, she never stopped smiling and was always positive about life. Her strength is something I admire till this day”.Sharing his takeaway from the personal experience, he stressed the importance of patience in such a situation. “I just want to say this to anyone going through it that you must to be patient, hopeful, and positive. I think that’s all you can do. You should treat your body best as cancer is one of several health complications that can happen if one doesn’t look after themselves,” he says, signing off.
