Awards 2016, co-presented by Videocon D2H, is back. The evening, filled with glamour, humour and some remarkable performances, will air on July, 10 at 6 pm on Colors. The starry event will have it all, from energy-packed acts by some of the best entertainers in B-Town to whimsical hosts. Pappu and Raju (Farhan Akhtar and Shahid Kapoor) will return as hosts, repeating their comical impact they had made on IIFA two years ago.
Their royal entry on donkeys, their desi andaaz and playful banter with the guests will see the audience struggling to keep a straight face. In fact, the charming duo of Bollywood will also recreate two of the most incredibly loved film characters of the past year ' 'Bajirao' and 'Piku'. Taking their respective characters a little too seriously, they will be seen poking fun at the movies' common connection ' Deepika Padukone ' and tickling the viewers' funny bones.
The grand show will commence with an act by Hrithik Roshan. Like always, the actor took the stage by storm with his spectacular dance moves and also the audiences back in time, by shaking a leg to some of his superhit numbers starting with his debut blockbuster songs.
Bollywood divas Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone make the night one to remember as they rock the stage with their stunning acts. Desi girl Priyanka, who has hit singles like 'In My City' and 'Exotic' under her belt, will be seen grooving to songs from her movies 'Dil Dhadakne Do' and 'Bajirao Mastani' which she will also be singing. Her performance is bound to leave viewers amazed as she sways from a Broadway style act to a traditional Indian one with elan.
Adding her own brand of magic will be Deepika Padukone, who will be seen swaying to many songs from her magnum opus film. Deepika will present a power-packed performance on 'Malhari', which will surprise audiences. While unadulterated entertainment is on the menu, Sonakshi Sinha and Tiger Shroff will pay tribute to some of their all-time favourite artists. The 'Dabangg' actress will perform to Sridevi's hit yesteryear songs. Be it 'Taki Taki', 'Hawa Hawai' and 'Naino Mein Sapna', Sonakshi will recreate the songs immortalised by her idol Sridevi. Undoubtedly one of the best young dancers in Bollywood today, Tiger will be seen making his debut as a performer on the IIFA stage. The young actor will give an energetic tribute to his dance idols ' the King of Pop Michael Jackson and Hrithik Roshan with some of their stunning moves.
And if that's not enough, Salman Khan will close the grand evening with a perfect blend of romance, action and humour. Being applauded and cheered on by the audience the most, the superstar's performance took the evening to another level.
The awards evening conceptualised and produced by Wizcraft International entertainment Pvt. Ltd will be one to look out for. But, at the end of the day, it will be the awards and the winners that will steal the limelight as their excellence is recognised on a global platform.
