', an action adventure drama that has been woven around the tale of a father's love for his daughter, is tugging at the audience's heartstrings.
Many people have taken to social media, saying the scenes ' especially the climax sequence ' between Ajay and his on-screen daughter (played by British child artiste
Abigail Eames) left them teary-eyed.
The film, which marks the actor's second directorial venture, also stars debutante
Sayyeshaa
and Polish actress
Erika Kaar in pivotal roles. While it opened to an encouraging response last Friday, positive word of mouth has led to a big hike in collections starting Monday. A viewer, Hani Mumtaz, says, 'We liked 'Shivaay' very much. My nine-year-old daughter got so emotional that she gave me a tight hug at the end of the film.'
Savio Rodrigues, a father who saw the film with his family, says, 'My girls and I are truly proud of such an emotionally rich movie.' Viewer Iqra Iftikhar Mirza tweeted, 'What have u done Ajay Devgn last 5 mins tears n unable to breath properly i swear. Hats off 2 u. speechless (sic).'
