Rubbishing all such reports, the filmmaker told a news portal that he has not given any such signing amount to Sushant for their film together. The film was also supposed to star Rhea Chakraborty in the lead. Rumi also added that Rs 15 crore was not even the full price for the film. He stated that there was no agreement signed so the signing was out of the question.

Earlier, Rhea had reportedly said that the late actor and she had just verbally agreed to do the film. The film was slated to go on floors in May but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown.
