New Year is around the corner and it is almost time for us to bid goodbye to 2019. The year 2019 was an exceptional year when it comes to content-driven and interesting films. As far first looks of B-town celebs is concerned, this year gave us some very interesting ones. While one played a guy suffering from immature balding, the other one impressed us with the uncanny resemblance with former Team India captain Kapil Dev. Deepika Padukone in 'Chhapaak'

Deepika Padukone left everyone stunned with her transformation into an acid attack survivor for Meghna Gulzar's film 'Chhapaak'. When the actress unveiled her look in the film, it received a positive response from the netizens and she was lauded for taking on such a powerful role, inspired by acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. The star took the Internet by storm with her uncanny resemblance to Laxmi. In the picture shared by the 'Padmaavat' actress, she can be seen standing next to a mirror where she is seen smiling. In the second picture, DP is seen hiding her face hiding a face with a white dupatta. In the third picture, the actress shined like a bright star with a ray of hope twinkling in her eye.

Kangana Ranaut in 'Thalaivi'

On her 32nd birthday, Kangana Ranaut announced that she is working on biopic the biopic of late Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa titled ‘Thalaivi’. A few days back, her sister took to her Instagram to drop the first look posters and the 'Manikarnika' actress looked like a spitting image of the late CM. In the picture, Kangana is seen donning thick prosthetics but manages to bring through a soft smile while flashing her signature victory sign. The poster sees her donning a green saree with a matching overcoat.

Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar in 'Saand Ki Aankh'

Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar left her fans all impressed with the most challenging roles and inspiring story of real-life shooters Chandro Tomar and her sister-in-law Prakashi Tomar. The stars played the roles of the women who are double their age in 'Saand Ki Aankh'. When their looks were unveiled, fans praised the actresses for getting into the skin of their characters so efficiently. It also started ageism debate, where some users slammed Taapsee and Bhumi and expressed that older actresses should have been signed for the film.

Saif Ali Khan in 'Lal Kaptaan'

Saif Ali Khan caught everyone's attention with an unusual and enticing new look in 'Lal Kaptaan'. The first look shows him as a fierce Naga Sadhu. This has been one of the best looks of Saif as started out as a cute chocolate boy. This new look reveals a different side of his talent which is dark, bold and badass. When his look was released, the Internet was instantly reminded of Jack Sparrow from 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' due to the similarities that were not so hard to spot.

Vidya Balan is all set to play mathematics genius in the Shakuntala Devi biopic. Dressed in a red saree with printed border and matching blouse, Vidya looked like a spitting image of the character she will be essaying on screen. Ranveer Singh in '83'

On his 34th birthday, Ranveer Singh shared his first look as Kapil Dev from the upcoming film, ‘83. The actor will play former Team India captain Kapil Dev who went on to lead India to its first World Cup win in cricket. He looked similar to the veteran cricketer with a bushy moustache and hairdo, The 'Padmaavat' actor can be seen flipping a leather ball in his hand with an intense look on his face.

Ayushmann Khurrana in 'Bala'

Ayushmann Khurrana left the audience stunned with yet another unusual role, playing a prematurely balding guy. The film 'Bala' is set in Kanpur that revolves around a man suffering from premature balding and the lack of confidence and societal pressure which runs with it. The makers dropped the teaser and unveiled Ayushmann's first look. He was seen riding a bike, he is singing Koi Na Koi Chahiye just like Shah Rukh in the song when a gust of wind blows his cap, revealing his bald head.
