Multiple reports claimed that the actor stepped away from the film due to creative disagreements with the makers. According to reports, Ranveer allegedly wanted the reboot to have a darker tone with more aggression, violence, and edgy dialogues, while Farhan Akhtar reportedly preferred to stay aligned with the franchise’s original style and treatment. Kareena Kapoor Khan was reportedly the first choice for an important role in ‘Toxic’, starring Yash. The actress was expected to play the superstar’s sister in the film, a role believed to be emotionally significant to the storyline.
