Girija Oak once revealed Aamir Khan did not stop shooting 'Taare Zameen Par' even after getting injured: 'His hand started bleeding, everyone was scared'
Aamir Khan is also lovingly called ‘Mr Perfectionist’ by his fans, and for good reason. Known for his dedication and eye for detail, he often leaves co-stars and crew amazed. But have you ever wondered how far he would go to keep a shoot going, even when faced with injury? Actress Girija Oak, who acted with him in 'Taare Zameen Par', once shared a story that shows just how focused and committed he is on set.
Despite the injury, Aamir barely reacted. Girija added, “Someone held his hand and was doing the dressing. But Aamir was busy with deciding the next scene. He wasn’t bothered with that cut, but everyone else was quite scared.”

How the sickle injury did not interrupt Aamir Khan’s focus
In a past interview with Lallantop, Girija recalled the 2007 film shoot. She said, “Aamir is a hyper-aware person. He was also directing the film for a short span. But my portion was all directed by him. So, there was a sequence where we were chatting while planting a seed. While doing it, the corner of the sickle pierced through his hand, and it started bleeding profusely.”Despite the injury, Aamir barely reacted. Girija added, “Someone held his hand and was doing the dressing. But Aamir was busy with deciding the next scene. He wasn’t bothered with that cut, but everyone else was quite scared.”
Aamir Khan was even working during hand treatmen
Even as his hand was being dressed, Aamir Khan stayed focused. Girija said, “After the dressing was done, he asked to resume the shoot. I was amazed how, despite being hurt badly, he was at the seventh level of awareness. He was running around and checking the monitor for camera angles, he was doing his lines, and he was directing also. So, that’s the person he is.”About ‘Taare Zameen Par’
The film, also starring Darsheel Safary, Tanay Chheda, Vipin Sharma and Tisca Chopra, tells the story of a young boy struggling with dyslexia and the teacher who helps him.
