Giselle Monteiro, the punjabi kudi of Love Aaj Kal fame talks to friends to her hearts content on Sundays. Is that why she was speechless on screen? When I wake up...
on Sundays, the first thing on my mind is to go bowling, as its my favourite sport. I go bowling whenever I get a day off.
I prepare myself...
a nice heavy breakfast comprising fruits, cereals, pancakes and then call up my friends to check what their plans are.
Most of my friends...
here in Mumbai are Brazilian models who I met only after I moved here. They come over every weekend and we hang out together.
I love cooking...
so whenever my friends are over, I try my hand at different Italian bakes.
Im not a gym girl...
but Ive recently started taking yoga lessons.
Easy-listening...
is the genre of music that works for me on Sundays. So, I go for Ben Harper or some Jazz or Western Classical tracks.
Volleyball...
is a sport I used to enjoy playing back in Brazil and still do, whenever my friends are game for it. As a kid, I enjoyed playing football with my brothers but now theyre bigger than me, so Id rather not challenge them in that game.
I love reading...
when Im alone. When Im reading, I get so involved that I lose track of time. I remember being up till 4 am, reading The Kite Runner, crying to myself...
I love talking...
so when friends come over for Sunday lunch, we end up chatting through the afternoon and they often end up sleeping over too.
Ive always wanted...
to learn to play the guitar and the piano. I never did it as I was travelling a lot. Now I can use my weekends for this. I want to learn dancing too. I only know the Brazilian samba.
We play cards...
only when were very bored. There are many card games which are popular among Brazilians I dont know their English names.
Im not a party girl...
so my idea of a lovely Sunday evening would be going bowling, then for a quiet dinner. I love sushi. Also, I prefer conversation to loud music over dinner.
My ideal Sunday...
ends with a call to my parents. I tell them what I did, where I went. And they say Im going too fast and I should slow down. Then I call my boyfriend, whose day wouldve just begun as theres an eight-hour time difference between Brazil and India.
