Speaking on comedian Bharti Singh’s podcast, Rakhi got candid about her difficult childhood and journey in the entertainment industry. Coming from a financially struggling background, Rakhi spoke about being pushed into odd jobs at a young age while still nurturing dreams of making it big. From undergoing breast surgery at the age of 11 to dealing with heartbreaks, marriage and divorce, the actress left no chapter untouched during the conversation.

Recalling her struggling days in Bollywood, Rakhi also shared a funny yet shocking anecdote from the sets of ‘Joru Ka Ghulam’, starring Govinda and Twinkle Khanna. She revealed how she landed the popular item song ‘Khula Hai Mera Pinjara’ opposite Govinda almost by chance.
“I was getting down from my building when I met Shakeel Noorani, the director of ‘Joru Ka Ghulam’. He asked me, ‘Tum naachti ho na?’ I said yes, and that’s how I got the item number,” Rakhi recalled.
Sharing another unexpected moment from the shoot, Rakhi said, “I reached the set at 6 in the morning and waited for hours because I admired Govinda sir so much. When he finally came, I greeted him with a ‘Namaste’, and he burped right on my face. It was a very strong burp — khana kha ke aaye honge,” she laughed.
However, Rakhi added that she never took offence to it. “I considered it a blessing,” she joked.
The actress further revealed that she did not even have proper costumes for the shoot and had to bring her own outfit for the song.
